Assembly was not complicated, but took a bit of time. It went together well except for one door. The hinges had to be moved down about 1/8" or the door wouldn't close. It's a nice looking cabinet, but scratches easily. I would recommend using small stick-on felt pads on any decorations placed on it.

the wife and i love the cabinet, but the center shelf is already sagging and the doors below rub and are hard to open. u would have to dissasemble the whole cabint to replace the shelf, poor design on that part

I remodeled my living room and needed a new entertainment center. I went on line to see what was out there for different designs. Saw a few I liked and started shopping local. ( A little worried about buying on line) I couldn't find what I wanted or anything I liked and I must have gone to 7 different furniture stores. Started reading the review on the Chesepeake TV Stand and read that other had the same trouble. Worried about ordering on line but could not find anything locally so they took a chance and ordered this product on line and were very impressed with it. The other reviews plus one person had a picture of it in his house helped me make the decission to give it a try & ordered it on line. I looked for the best price I could find & I found it @ Merantila [...]I ordered and received the stand. This assembly instructions were easy to follow and made the assembly of this product very simple. Given how solidly made the TV stand is, it is heavy. I would suggest that an assistant be on hand to help you hold and lift the assembled unit as the product weights over 150lbs (fully assembled).

Great TV Stand, I wall mounted my TV and was using an open 3 shelf entertainment rack which looked messy due to the wires showing plus is was limited. I purchased this unit, 1) for it's height - This is a great height for how I have my TV mounted. 2) Holds my components (Receiver, DVR, PS3/blu-Ray and Wii) 3) great wire management. 4) Width - this unit with its height has a great width 5) side storage - Not as great as I thought it would be but it works. 5) finally - price, look around and see what you find for under $400 -Not much that can stand side by side with this beast. Now I have never purchased furniture on line / blind buy before But I am very happy with this purchase, yes you have to put it together, but it not cheap stuff like something you'd get at [...]. [...] Assembly was easy - did it by my self in like an hour and half- I'd suggest getting some to help. As for the negatives [...]the unit has a fee minor scratches in the wood, 3) during assembly many of the parts where not labeled- but easily figure out what is what. 4)side storage - not great for DVD because its slim and deep, it the unit has pull out shelves or side access it would be great.

I had been searching the stores and internet for a 30"+ tall cabinet that would fit under a mounted TV, hold all my components and offer quality construction with some style. The price was the best I could fine and the quality was great. The wood frame is solid and with it all built, it looks like a custom piece of high end cabinetry. Also, it offers both the glass doors for your components and wood doors. Its nice to able to hide all the junk behind the doors and keep it looking clean. [...] It did take about an hour and a half to assemble, but its nothing too complicated.

Lots of storage space. Love the three shelfs (including bottom) on both sides. Took about two hours to put together myself. Very nice option compared to the metal and glass stands I have seen.
